I Want To…

I want to lay down in a field
And stare up at the sky
And just for a moment
Remember why I’m alive

I want to stop on the street
And dance in the rain
With everyone looking
And not be ashamed

I want to close my eyes on a mountain
And wait for the sound
Of what the Earth has to say
When no ones around

(Another punk thing)

I refer to them as nightmares
But i can never get to sleep
Think my packaging’s defective
Got no company to keep
value a good conspiracy
When there’s every reason to believe
That no government official
Really cares if i can eat
No government official
Cares if these…

YES!

Yeah

I’m going to color outside the lines! Don’t hate me!

The Hand thatRocks My Cradle

The Hand That Rocked My Cradle

The hand that rocked my cradle
Was not my mothers hand, instead
It was the hand of Death that rocked me
And a lullaby she sang

I still hear the ghostly tune
Her haunting voice inside my head
Sometimes I feel her ice cold Kiss
As I’m lying here in bed

Just past the age of two
Was the first time that I died
Yet, then I was awoken
To the sounds of my mothers cry

But over my mothers shoulder
I could clearly see
Death was standing right behind her
She was staring down at me

For those who may not know it
Death could never bare a child
Although many she had taken
To the other side

So when it came the time to take me
It was for Love she broke her vow
And kept a close watch over me
All the way till now

It was at the age of thirty-two
I chose to end my Life, insane
On a beach of sand pistol in hand
I felt the bullet hit my brain

Yes, I awoke once again
To the sound of her ghostly song
Despite the depression that had drove me
I knew what I’d done was wrong

So I guess I’ll go on living
And you will surely die
So live your Life unto it’s fullness
Keep love not hate inside

Cause one day you’re going to see her
You’ll know this Poet wasn’t wrong
And yes, on the day she takes you
You will finally hear her song

The Economic Titanic

The water is below freezing, the cold windless night still has a bite. You and your family stand on the deck of a sinking ship… and all the lifeboats are gone. Provisions were made for the upper and middle class families to survive, but your family is in neither of those groups. It was just about midnight, and you were awakened by the most god awful sound. The sound of metal being ripped away, eaten by an unseen monster. It was the sound of your doom. Now an hour later you come topside to find a large number of people, men, women and children yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs for someone, anyone to help save them. The ship is starting to lean and everyone goes crazy, and in that moment you all realize, we are all going to die! How could this happen? Is this all a bad dream? What did I do to deserve this?

In the midst of such horror, it is hard to separate yourself from such mass hysteria and think clearly. In order to survive you must think clearly. You have to focus on the solution and figure out the problem. I asked my son what would he do in this situation. He said, “there is only one solution. You must build your own lifeboat!”

Now let’s look at our current economic state of affairs. It is bad! We can focus on all the things that got us here. We can point fingers and blame everyone including ourselves, but that won’t help us or our families. The hour is late and we are out of time. Right now you need to focus on the solution!

Knowing where you are at in this scenario is important. I have read numerous articles and a few books regarding this economic disaster and views on surviving this bitter winter season. All of what I have read was written for the upper and middle class. It talks of where to hide your money from taxation. How to invest in a deflationary economy to still be able to grow your wealth. None were written for the poor. What are we to do?

It is time for us to think outside the box. It is time for us to build our own lifeboat. Many of you have bought guns and ammo to protect yourselves. Protect yourselves from what? The government? Thieves? Crackheads looking at breaking in to get your old pain pills? Don’t be ruled by fear! Sociopaths use fear as a tool to manipulate the masses. Again, it is time to focus on the solution. Surviving this economic winter season for the next decade won’t be easy. But, surviving is your only option. Let’s, for a moment go back to our story. Who is going to save you? The people in the lifeboats are not. The rescue ship is hours from you. The life-vest will hold your head above water long enough for you to die of hypothermia. You are your only option! Ok, let’s look at it in economics. The rich (people in the lifeboats)are not going to help you. They have the lifeboats and have already started moving their money. Remember, they have advisors and loop holes and foreign accounts to hide their money. The policy makers in congress are the rich! They make the rules and change them along the way. Which brings us to our rescue ship, which I will say is our government. That is like saying there is a ship coming but it is sinking also, and if it makes it here, and makes it here in time you might not want to get on it. Now, a life-vest is meant to save you. I think of social security as one of our life savers. Created to keep you afloat to save your life. Never meant to be a boat, just help you survive. I do believe, like in our story, life-vest that were meant to save lives were a false sense of security and only held the victims heads above water long enough for them to die of hypothermia. It is unfortunate that social security is in fact a false sense of security. The baby boomers who have paid in for all there working lives will find it out first. The ones collecting will be larger than those contributing. They will rob you of what was promised and what you saw as a lifeboat was really just a life-vest and you will find yourself freezing to death during this long economic winter.

It is time to focus on a plan. Again, this is written for the poor. If you are middle class and have investments/assets, cash, gold or silver you have your lifeboat already. This article is not for you, and I wish you and your family the best of luck. No matter where you were in life, if this moment finds you surviving without anything saved up or, at a negative net worth, yeah this is written for you!

It is not the time to go into an underground shelter stocked up with MRE’s and guns and wait it out. No, I have a better idea. Let’s think outside of the box. It is time not to separate yourself from people. It is time to come together with other like minded individuals and for a network of people you can trade goods and services with. It is really hard to tax bartering. If I catch fish today and want to trade it for a chicken or fruits and veggies, then I need a network of people to do that with. Remember, it is, United we stand and divided we fall. You don’t want to die all alone in a bunker surrounded by MRE’s and ammo consumed by fear. You need families who can help you and your family if you should become sick or even die.

We need to stick together. Start forming these contacts now. Start to barter for goods and services now. Remember, like minded people. If you think they are not trustworthy now or if they are lazy, don’t waste your time. It is better to learn people now instead of later.

I believe that by sticking together we might in fact learn a better way of doing things. Innovation might lead to a paradigm shit, an evolution in the way we think about everything. We will survive and we will do it by sticking together.
